In the post on “How is your quality of life?” I used the term “mentally
retired” and Steven Riddle of Flos
Carmeli commented:

retired” it speaks volumes–I may have to lift it, if you don’t

I meant “mentally retarded” and when I ran my post through
my Spellchecker I probably selected the wrong word. But I like my unintended
phrase better and if Steve can find a use for it, all the better. I initially
thought of letting my spelling error go unnoticed out of pride, but every one in
a while (well actually all the time) I must beat the beast of pride down a
bit.
