Thank you for this post. What a wonderful story.
I know it’s wrong, but I SO envy people that are handy like this. I’d love to be able to do this kind of thing, and I thank God for those that are able.
I still have to read the article, but the name Pungo threw me off. My girls are doing Prima Latina, and pugno means “I fight.”
Okay…back to work, really.
I finally read the article. My parents went to Mass at that parish and saw the crucifix that survived the fire. When Mom told me about it, I nearly cried.
