Thanks, Jeff, for letting us know. I’ve been busy lately and haven’t kept up with EWTN’s online schedule. (BTW, if anyone doesn’t have cable, which I don’t, you can still catch EWTN online. Just visit their site here and click on “Watch Live.”)
I’ve just been thinking recently about how fast our culture has become. I call it the “microwave culture.” Our attention spans are shorter and shorter. Commercials and news have become more dependent upon the quick, catchy “bites.” But Christians know we need to reflect and meditate in order to connect with God.
The silence of a monastery is like a drink of cool water to a parched throat. Our souls have the opportunity to rest in Him and have true communion. I haven’t seen this documentary, either, but look forward to it. It’s on my wish list to own because I have a feeling it would be good to see it more than once.

One of my favorite movies of all time.
This is a very good film. I bought it this summer to kill some time, and it is so easy to get lost in that movie and not want to come out.
