Boston-AP — Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry says the Vatican has crossed the line in America when it says Catholic politicians have a “moral duty” to oppose laws granting legal rights to gay couples.
The Massachusetts senator, who is Catholic, says he believes in the church and cares about it enormously. But he says “it’s important to not have the church instructing politicians.”

Who does the Vatican think it is giving him orders? It’s not like they are NOW, Planned Parenthood, or the DNC. What is with the Church instructing and teaching people? It is as if they take the Gospel seriously or something.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” Matt 28:19-20

Yeah, he “believes in” the Church until it actually says something that would make a difference.
Vell, vell, vhat are ve to do mit dese Catlick officials who keep telling our good German politicians vhat to do? Ze church is fine and gut, but should shtick to its own businss. Ze jooos, zey are a German problem not a Vatican problem, seeing as how ze Vatican is full of celebate men, none of whom are jooos. So, as much as I love ze church, vhen it comes to affairs of ze Stadt, I must place my faith in ze Partei.
I bet this creep Kerry also believes that Hitler’s Pope business as well. I am not one for quick public punishments. No strike that. I am all for quick public punishments, but I can usually stop myself, think about it and agree with a more pastoral approach, but statements like this one and the one from soon-to-be-ex-Gov. Davis (not gloating.not gloating. not gloating), call for rapid excommunication. These politicians have no shame, so the Church should provide a little bit of shame for them. Vergogna, Kerry!
