Yesterdays Supreme Court decision in favor of pro-life demonstrations (not
classifying them under RICO) was a pro-life victory. But it turns out it wasn’t
a victory for the Bush administration. His solicitor general Theodore B. Olson
on behalf of the United States argued for SCOTUS to classify these demonstrations under Rico. Yes are pro-life President’s solicitor general argued that these pro-life demonstrations were a classic use of force and extortion in the organized crime setting. Here is the Transcript from the court.
Update: Maybe the Bush administration decided that
most of the more liberal judges would automatically vote the opposite of whatever
the Bush administration officially supported. How’s that for some positive spin?

Well, that’s the most depressing news I’ve heard all day. And this tack from the guy who lost his wife in the attack on the Pentagon on 9/11. I’m truly aghast. I had no idea.
