The Old
Obligarch posts about Zorak and his excellent experience in Fr. Tucker‘s Church. I would also
like to sound off about my parish – Immaculate Conception in
Jacksonville, Fl. The original church was burned down in the Civil War and the
present building was dedicated in 1910. It is an absolutely beautiful church
with large stained glass windows, a high altar with a golden Tabernacle in the
center. They have confessions before every Mass and both priests are true
spiritual directors, there are lines everyday and people seem to come from all
over town to go to confession there. The homilies are well thought all and cover
everything that doesn’t seem to get covered elsewhere. The Masses are celebrated
with reverence and in accordance with the GIRM. On Sunday there are four Masses
starting with the Latin Mass and ending with a Mass said in Spanish. Reporters
when doing a story some times call up our pastor because they have the mistaken
belief that this is the Cathedral for the Diocese. So I just wanted to give
equal time to the holy priests of my parish, Fr. Antonio Leon and Fr. Warren
Keene.
