A
High-Tech Lynching: ABC News, The FBI, And The Greendale School
Myth
Serious investigative reporting seems to be at the low end where
more and more myths get passed off as truth. So far there doesn’t seem to be a
shred of evidence that Steven J. Hatfill is behind the Anthrax mailings. The
fact that he wrote a novel about a biological attack on Washington D.C. Maybe
they will charge Tom Clancy as a conspirator for 9/11 because one of his novels
had a jet crash into the Capitol building.

Kills: West Nile Fever Spreads While The Feds Snooze
More on how
false environmentalism kills.
[T]he question is this: how
many more Americans will have to die from West Nile Fever before the EPA
reverses its ban on DDT and permits its use to defend people against a new
disease sweeping across the nation? The “unintended consequences” of
environmentalism are killing people and will continue to do so until their lies
are buried along with their victims.
US
Catholic Diocese Orders Windows in Confessionals
How many people have actually been abused in a confessional? If this is
really a problem then I have some alternative solutions. (Warning: highly
sarcastic comments ahead)
1. We could put up two Sony Jumbotrons on each
side of the church. One showing the penitent and one showing the priest. We
could incorporate that digital blocking technology that automatically distorts
the persons features.
2. In the old television show “Get Smart” they use
to have a glass bubble that would lower over Max and the Chiefs head and block
eavesdropping. This way they could stand out in the open where everyone can see
them and not be overheard.
3. The priest could be outfitted in the
straight-jacket and mask as seen in “The silence of the lambs”.
This
seems to paint all of our priests with the same brush and sends the message that
we need to take every precaution to protect ourselves from our priests. As
others have commented, there must be some lawyer behind this.
Today my wife and I celebrate our 22nd wedding
anniversary. I thank God for her and for her putting up with me. I am sure that
St. Monica had an easier time living with her pagan husband. As a retired Navy
chief I don’t know what was more difficult for her, my being away or my coming
home. She will probably receive a “Get out of Purgatory free” card.
“Surely, he is the most politically incorrect leader on
earth. He calls abortion a sin against God and murder of the innocent. He calls
homosexuality unnatural and immoral. He opposes all extramarital sexual
relations. He is old, stooped and suffering from Parkinson’s, and slurs his
words. He is decried by elites as a hopeless reactionary. Yet he remains the
most beloved leader on earth…. What explains the extraordinary attraction Pope
John Paul II has, especially for the young? …Clearly, it must have to do with
the saintliness of the man and the strength of his message, a message at war
with what the secular world teaches about how to live. The young are something
this man has, and the world has not…. As the world has hated me, so also it
will hate you, Christ said. But in America, too many bishops and cardinals were
willing to yield to the demands of the world, because they could not endure
being hated by the world. But John Paul II was not among them. Apparently, he
never bothered reading The New York Times…. The Church needs more brave
orthodox bishops like the Bishop of Rome. Like the Marines, we need a few good
men.” –Pat Buchanan
“The judges [who want ‘under
God’ out of the Pledge of Allegiance] simply do not understand the First
Amendment. It does not bar religious expression in public settings or anywhere
else. In fact, it expressly PROHIBITS federal interference in the free
expression of religion. Far from mandating strict secularism in schools, it
instead bars the federal government from prohibiting the Pledge of Allegiance,
school prayer, or any other religious expression. The politicians and judges
pushing the removal of religion from public life are violating the First
Amendment, not upholding it.” –Rep. Ron Paul
These were taken from
todays Federalist
e-letter.
“I can’t imagine any other reason why we haven’t had a
child, other than this is what we were meant to do.“
I am sure that
Abraham must have thought the same thing we he didn’t yet havea heir. There is a
great amount of arrogance when you determine that only one possible thing could
be God’s will. What about adoption or spending your time in some charitable
work.
Michelle Malkin again turns out an excellent article titled “What’s bugging the
environmentalists?”. Theoretical scenarios and junk science about the use of
DDT and other insecticides has caused the death of thousands of people. When it
comes to saving the lives of people compared to some perceived threat against
the environment, humans lose. They also have fought against genetically modified
foods that can also save untold amounts of people from malnutrition to death
from starvation. It must be just another part of the “Dog is the same as a
chicken which is the same as a child” mentality. Steven J. Milloy is the
publisher of Junkscience.com maintains
an excellent resource that exposes such nonsense.
Slate magazine actually has a not totally negative
article on Fr. McCloskey and this article contains the following:
McCloskey is the anti-Garry Wills, telling American
Catholics who dissent from some church teachings why you aren’t a Catholic. “A
liberal Catholic is oxymoronic,” he says. “The definition of a person who
disagrees with what the Catholic Church is teaching is called a Protestant.”
Thanks to Amy Welborn’s
blog for finding this article.
‘Ordained’ woman
to fight papal expulsion. Former nun said ‘The Church treated Hitler better
than me’ and goes on a talks about the sex abuse scandal and in comparison how
they were treated. Is this to be the new slogan for decenters, “hey, you moved
abusing priests from place to place, so why don’t you also ignore my
disobedience”.
