Matt C. Abbot links to the "wedding album" of two ex-priests who "married" each other in 2004. The images are very tame, especially considering that these priests were involved in the St. Sebastian’s Angels Web site scandal.
A reader sent me a great editorial by Fr. Paul Ward of the Archdiocese of Detroit. He comments on St. Paul Elementary School in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI visit of the Islamic Cultural Center of America in nearby Dearborn where the girls were dressed in headscarves and leggings. The article is just too good to be excerpted and many excellent points are made along the way.

Ignatius Insight reprints a timely article by Jimmy Akin on the Crusades. It is a very straight forward account the the seven Crusades and ends with a good appraisal of them.
Sean Cardinal O’Malley moves beyond photoblogging with a great post of spiritual catechesis and commentary on the saints – especially Padre Pio. With all of the media attention of his blog I was hoping he would expand it beyond just photos with travel commentary. This post does that in droves.
Surprisingly they have even enabled comments now and so far no trolls have entered in. Now they just need to get some links up like to the Vatican, his Diocese, and some other good solid links like for example Catholic Answer’s bulletin board.
The Paragraph Farmer delves into a bit of theology to good effect. The Pope certainly does raise the level of discourse, just as long as you read what he actually say.
As usual the Ironic Catholic is quite funny, though I do think she missed out on an obvious bit. The priest should have given as penance saying 10 Aarrr Fathers.
Fr. Fessio’s reflections on Pope Benedict XVI’s Address at the University of Regensburg are well worth reading.
