“Tom Monaghan is someone who has made a lot of mistakes,” Healy said. “But he learns from his mistakes. And he’s not afraid to make mistakes.”
Monaghan didn’t argue, saying another word that might be used to describe him is stupidity.

Monaghan, a resident of Ann Arbor, Mich., said he’s already given up personal belongings, such as yachts, a vacation home, antiques and other collectibles, to pay for his effort to “help more people get to heaven.”
“When I gave up that stuff, it was a great relief,” he said. “What I’m doing now is much more rewarding to me.”
