This is on the main page of the True Religion Brand Jeans site.
The entire world is about jeans. They’re the true religion of clothing. They’re bighearted–everyone wears them. My jeans–True Religion Brand Jeans–are the most generous of all –they want EVERYBODY to wear them. But they are not for everybody.
Do you think I make this up? NO! My jeans have a soul. They have a life. They want to give you more style than you’ve ever had before. They fit amazingly. They are the
very best quality, made only in the U.S.A.; Go ahead and tour my website. Learn how to be one with your jeans.
I think it was St. Thomas Aquinas who had explained that there our plant souls, animal souls, and human souls. Was that a misspelling and did he mean pant instead of plant? Jeans have always been part of religion, after all Mose and his brother were from the tribe of Levi and I seem to remember something about Calvinism Klien. But I also think that before I became one with my jeans that I would probably take them off and wash em.

That’s a hoot.
“To be one with your jeans is to aspire to be like your jeans!”
Right. I want to be blue, with metal studs and stiching. Sounds like an alien punk.
Ditto Barrister. And I think I’m getting a little nauseated by all the Awful stuff out there, but at least some of us get a silver lining of HUMOR- 🙂
I seem to remember that Moses’ brother was named Aaron…
And yes, Aquinas said that, but he stole it from Aristotle.
Jane,
Good catch. I updated it to the tribe of Levi. I am glad my many editor/commenter’s works for free to catch my errors.
Yes, the marketing copy is way sacharine hype, but these jeans are super fat dope like Pablo Escobar. Forget Blue Cult, Joes, Paper, and the played out Sevens … True Religion Jeans are amazingly cool … the best new denim for 2004 without a doubt.
It was mainly my dog that brought me to god. He is the kindest, gentlest living being I know. To say that he is just a machine and that some jerk on the street obviously has a soul is ridiculous in my opinion. Some would say that we are also just machines. Frankly I reject that view to. A God that allows something as loving and sweet as my best friend to cease to exist is no God at all. A heaven without my dog is no Heaven at all.
