This is one of the those days that it would take a lot to get me down. I went to go wash my car and on the way back something broke and I spent most of the afternoon waiting for a tow and for it to be fixed. Maybe Satan was having a go a trying to knock my mode down on level because what broke was the serpentine drive. Some people emailed my that my blog was mentioned on MSNBC today. When I got home I had a message from a producer from Connected Coast to Coast but since I got back so late I wasn’t available for an interview slot they had. Even with the car problem and the near miss of my 15 seconds of fame I am still pretty ecstatic. I am off to go to a Mass to honor our new Holy Father Benedict XVI and maybe I will come down of a Ratzinger high within the next day or two.
Update: It was great to hear "Our Pope Benedict XVI" the first time as part of the Mass.

What is absolutely incredible is that when I went to Barnes and Noble, to see what books they had that Cardinal Ratzinger had written, as I may learn more about him, I found this:
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?userid=2y0KiuJBnt&isbn=1402731728&itm=1
That is incredible! Waste no time!
Hey you’re doing better than I am at forming coherent sentences on the news. I’m so thrilled I can hardly think straight to post anything without a dozen exclamation points. Like this: YEEEEEE-HAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oops, did it again. *sigh*…
Jeff,
It was great to see your blog on MSNBC. I never watch MSNBC, but somehow my brother made his way there and I saw your blog plugged. I couldn’t believe it. Keep up the good work!
Jeff,
I hope the serpentine didn’t take out your water pump as well. We just went through two weeks of repairs on three different cars (our mechanic’s kid will be going to Yale I think.)
No matter though, we are all riding a high today as we celebrate our new Pope. Congrats on the MSNBC mention. I am curious as to when the honeymoon will end between Catholics and the media. (Except of course for VOTF and Call To Action.) Has anyone gotten a statement from them yet?
The honeymoon vis a vis Pope Benedict and the media will be over before the morning, if it isn’t over already.
We went to Mass this evening, too, to thank God and to hear our excellent pastor pray “for Benedict our pope, Francis our bishop, and all the clergy”. I feel like I won the lottery, had twins, was asked to sing at the Met, and Rep. Chris Smith was just elected president with Sen. Brownback for his VP.
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
