Actually, Jean, that statue is supposed to be the Blessed Mother.
Apparently the artist justifies this atrocity by explaining that they wanted the image to appeal to people from every culture, so it couldn’t look like a woman from any culture. (Or, like a woman at all, apparently.
But they totally miss the point that love is an incarnational reality, not an abstract one.
My brain can be a frightening, random place. A large inner world can be a gift and a curse. So I don’t blame you if my trailer doesn’t make sense to you. Send me an e-mail with your questions, and I’ll try to explain.

Priceless!
There are some things money can’t buy. Clayton’s mysterious mind is one of them.
An absolute classic!

Too hilarious, Clayton.
I guess we should be thankful the so called artist didn’t make the Blessed Mother look like Gollum.
Making her look like Arwen (or any woman from any culture) would no doubt be too “cliche” and soooo Medieval.

I don’t even know what to say…are sure you didn’t enter another dimension? Truly one of the ugliest churches I’ve seen, sterile tunnels, and a statue of maybe a lesbian woman. You want to call it artistic? I call it sad. The beauty of our faith is turning into crappy pop art. PU.

Egads! That statue is supposed be Risen Christ, but it does look like androgynous Judith, doesn’t it?

LOL. That trailer is great.
I don’t get the trailer at all
Clayton, thank you for clarifying. So, that’s what the Blessed Mother would look like if she were a 12year old boy, huh? :]
