The Nobel Peace Prize has jumped the shark. So a bureaucrat who tried to play politics with our last election and who has been lenient in his approach in dealing with the Iranian muclear program is suppose to have contributed to peace?

The Nobels jumped the shark a long time ago. (A least by the time they gave one to Carter.)
Maybe we need to start a competitor series of “Nobel Prizes”. Awards that aren’t beholden to the political use of the leftist selection committee of the Nobel Prizes.
Maybe the Vatican could start some up for legitimate contributions to science, medicine, philosophy, peace, fight against poverty (economic development), etc. Maybe they could also avoid being so overtly political? The pope could announce the awards and put the Vatican’s clout and stature behind the honour.
Maybe we should start our own Oscars, Emmy’s etc…
