My German is rusty, but I can understand enough to know that your parody was not translated in full but adapted. Unless I missed your “From the Alt-69ers, Deliver us, O Lord.” Fortunately, “Rainbow colored projectile vomit” was preserved as “regenbogenfarbiges Erbrochenes.” May come in handy some time.
Well, kreuz.net is not exactly a serious news site, and its readership also has a strong tendency for being schismatic. They like to take everything that interests them from blogs and the like and post that on their site. Also happened to me once – and I didn’t feel at all flattered…
They also didn’t understand your reference to the document “Environment and Art in Catholic Worship”; they translated “environment” as _Umweltschutz_ (environmental protection) when it should have been _Umgebung_ (surroundings), so that paragraph comes out garbled
Also, it was a purely American document, so it makes no sense to speak of it in relation to the German bishops’ conference.
