Sure, everyone knows “live long and prosper” but did you know this is Vulcan for “be fruitful and multiply”.

TimC,
How ’bout ‘Vatican’ for “be fruitful and multiply”?

I seeee you!
By the way, that is not the Vulcan sign. If you will notice the two centre fingers are together and the two outer ones are apart.
Having spent some time on Vulcan learning a little of the culture, I can say categorically that this does not mean “live long and prosper.” However, it is not sinister or vulgar either. Actually it is a bit of a joke, the sense of which is difficult to translate into English.
Besides, everyone knows(trekkies anyway) that the Vulcan salute stand for YHWH. ^__^

Actually, the Holy Father may just be in a good mood over the good news.
Perhaps Jeff might be able to confirm the rumour that there will be a new Popemobile built with enviromental considerations in mind. It will be electric to eliminate emissions, probably designed and built in Germany (where else?).
It is also rumoured that it may be called the Vatican Voltswagen, or VV for short.
All just rumour, of course.
