Good article on Alfred Kinsley the scientific fraud behind the sexual revolution. Good overview of how his fraudulent research changed the culture – none to the good. Though it does not cover the aspects of Kinsey the man who was a pervert’s pervert. Yet of course Hollywood made a movie about the man that of course didn’t mention that he masturbated babies as part of his research.

Isn’t masturbation by definition something you do to yourself?
What he did should, by normal people, be called “sexual molestation of a minor.”
Why did this person not serve jail time? Was it because he was assaulting children in the name of Science(TM)?
I don’t know that there is any evidence that he abused babies; his organisation won’t release the files of how he obtained his results but he did apparently use the records of a paedophile who did abuse very young children.

The most-egregious aspect of Kinsey’s methodology was his use of children as subjects. He used over 300 children, including babies, in his studies of female orgasm. Some critics legitimately accuse Kinsey of child molestation. The American Board of Pediatrics argues that his data are not the norm; that he used unnatural stimulation and, even then, did not prove his point. Using pedophiles, he charted the length and frequency of infants’ and children’s supposed “orgasms.” When questioned about how he knew whether a baby had an orgasm, he said he measured by their crying. Five of these infants and children were subjects for months or years, and it is reported that much of the “testing” occurred when they were either strapped or held down.
Good Morning , My God How The Arrow Has Pierced My Soul With the Agony of Painful Memories! Lord Help Me. I was Sexually Abused as a infant ,Child, adolecent,,,I Awoke to see what the Curt Jester was Writing , something humourous I’d Hoped. Instead I Was Horrified At The Discriptive Nature of His Comments about what this pervet did to babies. Thnaks For A day of Painful Memories!!!!!,NOT. For Crying Out Loud ,,A Reader Warning would have been Nice! I’m Really Hurt and in a terrible mental state because thos words triggered such horrific pain in my soul,Please pray for Me & All those who suffer from these horrific memories.
Anon,
I will remember you in my prayers today, especially at Mass and during my Adoration hour. I am sure that Jeff’s post was not intended to cause pain to those who suffered childhood abuse, but to open our eyes to the abuse that is happening now and will happen in the future if we permit the Kinsey findings to shape education, legislation, etc.
I am surprised at your criticism of his “descriptive” comments however. It seems to me that the terms he used and the article to which he pointed are not detailed in any way as to be offensive or to require a warning to readers.
If the mere mention of a particular abuse causes an extreme reaction in you, perhaps some professional counsel would be helpful? I’m not being snide here; I have my own past that is triggered by certain words–when the trigger goes off, sometimes I need help so that I won’t be overwhelmed.
Do you see that if a rape victim, for instance, becomes unglued by the very word ‘rape’, he/she is in need of outside help to recover? Or that a pro-lifer who panics at the word ‘peace’ (because peace has been taken over by abortionists) would benefit from wise counsel? I hope that you will seek help.
I am in counseling, thanks for your attempted concern.
I agree with anon, a warning should have been placed on this post. Please give people the opportunity to not read something of such a horrific nature. You are the Curt Jester, the Jester part leading one to believe something of a humorous nature will follow.
As much as I sympathize with folks who are in distress, he did expressly say the guy was “a pervert’s pervert”– I surely didn’t expect good or funny from that! Especially not with the express linkage to the sexual revolution, which birthed the culture of death.
Thank You Heather , I’m glad you ‘get what I’m saying’. I come to the jesters site for humor , not horror, blessing to you, anon.
One would be led to believe that the link was provided for those that were interested in reading the news article. I can read what the Curt Jester has written and ascertain pretty easily that I don’t want to read what’s linked. I find that the last sentence of CJ’s post was warning enough. It’s your choice to click on the link and then even more so, your choice to continue reading.
I’m so sorry people are offended and I most certainly agree that if specific words make someone become that enraged and then sarcastically remark “thanks for your attempted concern” when someone did show real concern… there is more healing that needs to be sought and not from blogs but from professionals that can deal with your particular situation. May God bless you in your journey of healing.
The truth about Kinsey needs to be told for many reasons, one of which is his effect on our children. One of mine was taught positive things about him in school, which I didn’t find out until she expressed strange sympathy for his perspective in college…Many teary arguments ensued. Kinsey wore off, the truth won. But it wasn’t easy. Not every parent will find out by “accident” what their children have been taught until it’s too late. “Kinsey”, the film, didn’t help.
I am sorry anon. for not expressing my concern well. It was sincere, and I truly did pray for you at Mass and in the chapel that day.
Certain words do trigger reactions in me–some of them are words that shouldn’t be repeated, but some of them are necessary to get an awful reality across. And yes, there are days when the word “peace” brings images of aborted children to my mind. I mentioned that not to trivialize your experience but to show you that some of us can come up with entirely irrational associations because of disturbing experiences. As in, your reactions, as troubling as they are, are “saner” than some of mine–that’s all I meant.
