Professor Robbie George writes a much nicer letter to Professor Douglas Kmiec than I would be capable of doing. Recently Kmiec made the error of taking what President Obama said about cloning as actually meaning that cloning would not be allowed. I guess that is an easy mistake if you don’t realize that he was talking about reproductive and not so-called therapeutic cloning (clone and kill).
His letter is a nice reminder this Lenten season to not ascribe to malice what might be just ignorance. Though I guess I will have to see the rest of the email volley between to two to make up my mind about that.

I wonder if he could write a nice letter to the Canadian Bishops over how the money parishoners give during Lent goes to fund pro-abortion lobby groups in Mexico.
It must be hard to be a Catholic pro-lifer in Mexico when your poor village gets pennies from the Canadian children while the pro-abort groups get dollars from the Canadian adults.

I just read over the entire exchange between the professors and as one might suspect, Professor Kmieck continually dodges the question and comes out in favor of President Obama while completely ignoring the hard facts presented to him (and, thank God, to the rest of us) by Professor George. I’m very interested to see if there is a live debate between these two.
