This version of The Weekly Francis covers material released in the last week from 11 August to 21 September 2013.
The Weekly Francis is a compilation of the Holy Father’s writings, speeches, etc which I also post at Jimmy Akin’s The Weekly Francis. Jimmy Akin came up with this idea when he started “The Weekly Benedict” and I have taken over curation of it.

Dear Jeff
Although so far this post of yours sounds great but I’ve only read so far this from our Papa http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/francesco/angelus/2013/documents/papa-francesco_angelus_20130915_en.html and I’ve also read from Jimmy’s blog this one below http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/francesco/audiences/2013/documents/papa-francesco_20130911_udienza-generale_en.html which I’ve found very interesting. Long story short, I really needed the strength that it gave me cause believe it or not, after talking to my wife about same sex families, I’ve been feeling a little drained.
Longer story short, it reminded me of when I convinced my wife in the early nineties, ‘I think’, to join a “Renew Group” in our church and longer story short, when it was over, my wife and i plus the sister who started this group in her own home was the only ones left when we finished it. The sad news about this group is that I really didn’t know that our mother church was opening itself up to allowing so called divorced couples back in the church. If only I would have known, I might not have gotten so very UPSET with mother church when I received a letter in my own name. To be honest and long story short, what got me to stop going to church until GOD (Good Old Dad) called me back again was that my wife also got a letter with her simple name with my last name on it but where was “The Mr. and Mrs. family name that we had all grown UP with? Longer story shorter, I politely simply told my wife that she had my blessing if she still wanted to keep going but go figure “LOVE”, she declined my blessed off her, “I” mean offer NOW? 🙁
Listen Jeff, I don’t want to drag this on and on but again with the little that I’ve read so far of this post, you’ve convinced me that His Holiness is not selling U>S (usual sinners) to the wolves and I also know that sinner vic was wrong when “IT”, I mean, when he tells me to forget about my mother NOW! 🙂
As YA all know, I could go on and on and truth be known, sinner vic has a LOT more to say but my wife as just called me to go out and buy a new phone cause the three that we have in our home have all broken DOWN NOW.
Go Figure brothers and sisters in Christ! 🙂
