And in other Papal press:
The Vatican has brought in the Fox News correspondent in Rome to help improve its communications strategy as it tries to cope with years of communications blunders and one of its most serious scandals in decades, officials said Saturday.
Greg Burke, 52, will leave Fox to become the senior communications adviser in the Vatican’s secretariat of state, the Vatican and Burke told The Associated Press.

I’m a bit rusty on my Bible, when did Jesus instruct Peter to have a PR machine in the One True Church?
Dear Lord, please open this man’s mind and heart so closed by his desperate desire to convince himself that he is right in his rejection of your love.
And bless him for the many opportunities he gives us to see both the relevant criticisms that we Catholics need to consider, as well as the vacuity of the alternative he currently subscribes to.
And please lead those who are irritated by his comments to pray for him ever more fervently.
It’s weird the way you tell your god what to do. If your god wanted me to believe in it wouldn’t it have done something believable? He can make an eyeball but he can’t make a phone call?
Salvage: the Westboro Church of Atheists. Continuing to not make sense yet maintain an invidious presence since his first post. Yes, Roberto, I do pray fervently for his conversion.
“He can make an eyeball but he can’t make a phone call?”
Maybe you hung up on Him.
And loving Father, thank you for the great testimony he gives us about how people’s lack of belief in You is based on ignorance and arrogance. May all those who read his posts see this and trust in you ever more.
>Continuing to not make sense
What have I posted that doesn’t make sense?
>Yes, Roberto, I do pray fervently for his conversion.
Shame it’s not the old days, you could have had me tortured there.
> Maybe you hung up on Him.
So, it’s my fault that your god who made me didn’t make me or present itself in such way that I could believe in it?
Have you ever noticed that everything that’s gone wrong is never your god’s fault yet it made everything? It’s weird how your god is so powerful and weak all at the same time.
>lack of belief in You is based on ignorance and arrogance.
So I’m ignorant for not believing in Bronze Age mythology? If I believed in Norse mythology would I be enlightened?
And arrogant? You think a god made you in its image and takes an active interest in your life and listens to your demands.
I think that maybe a label more apt for theists.
Thank you, mr salvage, for once again demonstrating your utter ignorance of anything related to Christianity in general and the Catholic Church in particular. While some of your questions are worth pondering, as soon as you state an opinion you destroy any shred of credibility you may have created with your questions.
See, contrary to your blind perspective, God has a way to fulfill His plans in the best way, a way beyond your (and our) limited comprehension. You are doing His work without even realizing it. Thank you again.
Roberto,
It’s funny how your god fails to emulate salvage’s very image of how it should behave. The more salvage-like your god adapts, the more likely salvage will bow down before it? But not really, as Salvage is as insincere as it gets; troll, really. Too bad you couldn’t send your god to the Goolag, where all good atheists send their dissenters for banishment, torture and death for failing to demonstrate proper atheist sentiments. For that matter, the atheists are remarkably efficient at torture and death, so much more than the previous 5 centuries ever were.
But alas, the scales on his heart and eyes fool him that his darkness is all there is; and his nothing is his god.
>His plans in the best way, a way beyond your (and our) limited comprehension
Ah, now that’s some theist boilerplate right there. Whenever you point out just how chiroptera guano crazy their god is they play the “strange and mysterious!” and “His ways our not our ways!” card yet at the same time insist that their god made us in its image and is in constant communication.
The dichotomy, like all the other inconsistencies, is of course ignored.
Your god’s plan, is it as goofy and pointless as the whole “sacrifice” itself to itself one?
Kyle,
yes, my God is not smart in the way salvage would like to have him. I guess salvage would love to serve Him, as long as it is in an advisory capacity.
I am starting to miss his questions, though: he is sticking only to name calling and (what he sees as) sarcasm.
>my God is not smart in the way salvage would like to have him.
Your god thinks the sun and stars are different things. Your god thinks that it made the world in 6 days. Your god let a talking snake and a magic fruit destroy its paradise. That’s bad enough but what makes matters worse is it made them all and put them in the same place for the bad thing to happen! Then it has the gall to blame Eve?!?
And that’s just the first few pages of its story. It doesn’t get any smarter as time goes on.
Your god is a r-tard of the highest order.
Yes, that is “name calling” but it’s also quite accurate.
Thank you for this further demonstration of egregious ignorance on your part. Your reading of basic Christian theology is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read on the topic. Thanks for the laugh.
Yeah, you keep saying stuff like that but you never actually say what I’ve gotten wrong.
Are you stupid or a liar? That’s the bit I can’t figure out.
You cannot figure out much simpler things than this; when people try to explain them, you reject them out of hand; when people ask for your definition of a “good person” you decline, referring to Google instead; and you accuse others of being stupid?
You have no idea of what Christianity claims, but only rely on your perverted interpretation. Yet, you are too full of yourself to learn anything new.
I understand Jeff’s patience with you, but have little hope that you will ever change. You can bring a horse to water, but you cannot make it thirsty.
You cannot figure out much simpler things than this; when people try to explain them, you reject them out of hand;
Can you provide an example of this?
See once again you keep saying stuff like this but never actually show your work. Real life isn’t like theism, you have to prove what you say.
>and you accuse others of being stupid?
Not others, just you and to be fair it’s only because you’re saying stuff like that. And I left open the possibility that you’re a liar, let’s be fair here.
>You have no idea of what Christianity claims,
No, I’m pretty sure I do.
>but only rely on your perverted interpretation.
Once again, can you provide an example of my perversion? Do you mean like when ask why your god sacrificed itself to itself so it wouldn’t be wrathful to the Earth? What part of the Jesus myth am I distorting or otherwise being in error with?
>Yet, you are too full of yourself to learn anything new.
Yes, that exactly me!
>I understand Jeff’s patience with you, but have little hope that you will ever change.
Well all you have to do is answer one of my many questions with an answer that makes sense and I’ll change.
For instance why is your god real and all others fake?
You can bring a horse to water, but you cannot make it thirsty.
