As a great admirer of the Holy Father I really do love to read all that he says. Though often I do not get around to it. Jimmy Akin has been compiling Pope Benedict XVI weekly speeches, addressed, documents, and other sources into what he calls “The Weekly Benedict”. This is pretty awesome, but I like to do more of my in-depth reading on my iPad. This helps me to concentrate more in study and to be able to highlight and note areas of interest. So I decided to compile texts that Jimmy Akin links to and convert them into ebook format.
Since others would also benefit from this I have decided to provide this as a weekly service for those who would like to read these same texts on their electronic reader or via any of the ebook readers available on computers.
This week because of the Pope’s Apostolic Journey to Benin he has released an Apostolic Exhortation named “Africae Munus”. While written specifically for the people of Africa I found it to be like all of the Holy Father’s writing quite beneficial to read. While Africa has it’s own challenges much of what he writes is applicable to all of us. It is also very worthwhile to understand the challenges they face considering the large growth of the Church in Africa. Since this document is more of a long form read I created it as a separate ebook instead of including it in The Weekly Benedict.
Here is this weeks edition of The Weekly Benedict. While this project is inspired by Jimmy Akin any faults in formatting or possible copyright questions are entirely my own.
