I love Odd Thomas too – his best character. I really like his books (I actually pre-ordered his most recent novel). I’ve always wondered if he was a Catholic.

Maybe I am living under a rock, but I had no idea that Dean Koontz was Catholic. That is fantastic. I am not much of a reader of fiction (I probably should be) so I was never attracted to his books. However, I will definitely check out some of his writing. Not that I stay away from non-Catholic authors, but other than Tolkien and Walker Percy, I just haven’t heard of any really good fiction writers that could grab my attention while maintaining a morally sound plot.
