This time with Alexia Kelley directory of “Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good” which received money from Moveon.org founder George Sorous. She also provided cover for Abortocrat John Kerry as she generally provides cover for all Abortocrats.
President Obama – please stop picking on Catholics by picking the less than faithful among us.
President Obama has announced that Alexia Kelley, founder of the antiabortion group Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, will serve as the director of the Health and Human Services Department’s Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, arousing the ire of some abortion rights activists.
“antiabortion group” – what a laugh. Yeah they put some slogan on their website about the sanctity of life while at the same time all of their efforts are towards electing Abortocrats. A group that called itself anti-racist that supported racist candidates would never get away with such a claim.
If Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good were really anti-abortion we would hear from all the usual suspects in the abortion protection movement about being disturbed by this appointment, Though I guess only Francis Kissling was foolish enough to accept this claim in any way.

Why do Catholics seek to force their beliefs and practices concerning marriage and the family, contraception and abortion on all others. Do you think this will endear you to us?
We don’t seek to stop you from engaging in practices that seem to us barbaric, brutish and pagan.
Obama’s surrounded himself with cafeteria-style Catholics and even got an honorary degree from them at Notre Dame. I suspect he thinks that all Catholics are just like the ones on his Cabinet and his Supreme Court pick and his political allies in Congress. He’s not Catholic, why should he care what the Catholic Church really teaches? He sees them as a voting block, nothing more and nothing less.
So, he won’t pay attention to the authentic views of the Church until CINO politicians start losing elections.

No…this is how Obama WANTS Catholics to behave.

This isn’t, frankly, about “endearing” us to anyone. It’s about speaking the Truth. Christ spoke the Truth and many people stopped following Him because of it. The Catholic Church’s teachings on marriage, family, contraception and abortion are the TRUTH and have – time and again – been proven so when our culture does its “What could X hurt?”/”How were we supposed to know” shtick in creating/embracing sin.
As for people attempting to stop us, that’s a laugh. It happens every single day in the form of our MSM, politicians, and even dissenters within the Church attempting to undermine Her teachings to their own benefit.
Why are there so many of these tepid Catholics available in the first place?
Anne: “No…this is how Obama WANTS Catholics to behave.”
I remember reading a comment that the Episcopal Church, and the Anglicans in general, get a disproportionate amount of media coverage because they are what the media would like the Catholic Church to be: liberal, inclusive and not hung up on all that sin and penance stuff, but they still look “churchy”, with the robes and incense and stuff. Could be true. Of course, take a look at them now…
Could be true.
No, I think it’s absolutely true. I don’t have time to research it all, but when you look at some of the following Catholic memes that the media loves:
1. The Pope “attacking” things
2. Questioning the divinity of Christ (especially at Easter and/or Christmas)
3. Priests like Fr. Cutie who give them fodder to question celibacy rules
4. Women Priests
5. Priests like Fr. Pfleger
6. The sex abuse scandal (gives them fodder to question both celibacy and the all-male priesthood)
The case can solidly be made that the media wants us to emulate the Episcopalians and Anglicans. I am certain of it.
Of course, at that point, we’d cease not only in being Christ’s Church, but of being a source of controversy and threat to the media establishment and their beloved platforms.
Maybe Kissling was acting like the fake EA protesters – you know, to kind of give O some cover for a “pro-life” pick.
Or maybe she wanted the job.
