Cosmos-Liturgy-Sex shows something quite interesting in that “States With Funded “Abstinence Only Education” Show Significantly Less Teen Abortions“
Though I a sure opponents of abstinence education would just shout back “Bristol Palin!”

Exactly.
Most opponents of abstinence wouldn’t care about the abortion rate, they would focus on the rate of teen pregnancies instead.
For instance here in Texas (Austin of course…) there isn’t a day without a column criticizing our abstinence programs as not addressing the fact that our state is one of the worst when it comes to teen pregnancies… They use that to “prove” that abstinence doesn’t work.
My question would be what is the teen pregnancy rate of states that have abstinence programs? I would hope so.
In older studies, children who had abstinence education tended to be older when they had sex. I’d be interested in seeing the numbers now, compared with students having the “normal” education.
Haha. In my local junior college there’s a 3-unit class called “Human Sexuality”. According to one source, my jc has been called a “homosexual cesspool” so you can imagine what the description of that class was… I need’nt elaborate. It’s pretty sad how low our culture has gotten. We need leaders to bring us up.
Well, if those that like the idea of sexual indotrination, otherwise called ‘sex education’ cry Bristol Palin’s name at abstinence only education, shout back to them, “The United Kingdom”
The earliest, most graphic sex ed program in Europe if what my Brit friends have told me is true, and the highest rate of teen pregnancies & the highest percentage of abortions in Europe.

Isn’t this also the reason why Uganda as much lower rates of HIV-AIDs than other African countries( and why the pope was so castigated recently)? Appeal to man’s highest ideals – abstinence before marriage and not the basest.
