A reader sent me a link to this creepy video.
At the 40th anniversary celebration of Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes, attendees were asked to write about a time when Planned Parenthood made a difference in their lives or in someone else’s. Sean Lukasik and Rhonda Morton then created an improvised soundscape from the writings.”
The operatic “My first pelvic exam, my first birth control” is especially creepy. Plus with a typical Sarah Palin bash.

Can you post the url of the link since the video will not play? Is there still a place to view this?
If I remember correctly, some of the highlights included:
–Thank God for Planned Parenthood, for those nice people who care about me [those nice people who take your money, kill your child, and aren’t there for you when you walk out empty?]
–I was 16, 15, 14, 14, 18, 12, pregnant teen, TEEN, 13, 14, 12. [the teen counting is repeated a few times during the eight minute presentation.]
–My parents didn’t understand…I was pregnant, they were RELIGIOUS [emphasis theirs]
–I was 39 and 5 and a half months pregnant…[Hey, wait a minute–I thought PP limited their killing to 22 wks or less]
–Planned Parenthood SAVED me!
Lots of incoherent babbling, painful sounds, pained faces, dramatic blah-blah, and barfy baloney. Improvised. Inspired by audience comments though, which is sad. (Though the performance was bad enough to be funny if the content were not tragic)
Not surprising that someone was embarrassed enough to remove the evidence!
It’s shocking that these people and um, “performers” believe this stuff. And that they can’t seem to GET that the biggest difference PP made to the lives of others was to END those lives!
Makes me wonder if hell sounds like that–like one big insane, droning, whiny self-pity party intended as a celebration. Lord, save us from our own madness!!
EXTREME Madness! Entertainment???–they should be taken to the nearest psych ward–immediately!
Wierd. What is an “improvised soundscape”? Has anyone used it as a “liturgical innovation” in the Mass, yet?
The perplexity of the medium stumps me. But the lyrics, when I was able to focus on them, were very tragic.
Hey, I think they have taken down the video as I can’t get to it and it says Embedding disabled by request. Guess they don’t want us keeping tabs on them. AnneG in NC
It’s now listed as a private video. Hmmm…I wonder why? Hopefully they are ashamed of the video but I doubt it.
Well, let me see if I can provide a summary, although I didn’t watch it:
Man: “Thank you, PP! I’d be paying child support up the wazoo if my dumb girlfriend hadn’t gotten that abortion, and that would really put a dent in my fab and hip lifestyle!”
Woman: “Thank you, PP! If it weren’t for you, I might have been punished with 5 brats, just like that freak Palin! Instead – I have none!”
Woman: “Thanks so much, PP! It always warms my heart when I see those minority women heading into the abortion clinic down the street because, hey, like Sanger said, it’s a great thing when undesirables don’t reprodu- oops, I didn’t say that – I meant when women don’t have undesirable kids – yes, that’s it! Every child should be wanted and it’s just really great that so many of the unwanted children happen to be unwanted by people we really wouldn’t want living next door anyway. Wait – I kinda messed that up a little,…,”
Am I close?
It won’t play, I get “Embedding has been removed due to a request.” when I click on it.
Maybe they only wanted it shown to friendly audiences? Or it wasn’t supposed to be taped in the first place?

I’m totally convinced that Hell will be made up of all the people we warned about things like abortion, and gay marriage, and euthanasia, and religious freedom, and the importance of embracing the Truth of Christ and that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM will spend all eternity grumbling about how it’s *our* fault they’re in Hell because we never tried to warn them about consequences.
So yeah, it pretty much sucks. And that’s before the fire and brimstone.
Someone has skills! (As my daughter would say.) The video is functional again at http://www.crankycatholic.com.
