The Catholic Thing looks to be a great new website that provides excellent commentary.
The Catholic Thing, a program of the Faith & Reason Insitute, is in the process of developing its editorial structure. Its current publication committee includes: Hadley P. Arkes, Jason Boffetti, George Marlin, Ralph McInerny, Michael Novak, Robert Royal, Austin Ruse, William L. Saunders, and Michael Uhlmann. Kirk Kramer is the web administrator.
I assume that they take their name based on G.K. Chesterton’s book “The Thing.” I just wish they would get an RSS feed.

Speaking of feeds. Since your update, the feed through iGoogle takes an extra step, going first to a page that re-directs us to you. I tried getting the feed directly from here, but went through the same loop (as I call it) again. Just FYI
Good article except for its including the ad hominem “cafeteria Catholic” schtick. It’s a valid concept but not the way it is applied (only dogmatic theologians who can distinguish between de fide and theologically certain should use it) and not in its implied exemption for Popes who overturn things like the death penalty and husband headship and get off scot free because all Catholic pundits ultimately draw their position and sometimes money from Rome.
“The Catholic Thing” was also the name of a well-regarded book about the Catholic incarnational and sacramental ethos by Rosemary Haughton, written back in the ’70s.
I believe “that Catholic thing” is also found in “Brideshead Revisited.”
They have a feed now. (Left sidebar)
