I think our Holy Father needs a blogging Dominican to head up this new dicastery! Maybe one who preaches a lot and begs for books all the time…he should prolly be a bit chunky, with good southern accent, fluent in literature, philosophy, and theology…can’t think of anyone right off the top of my head though…any suggestions?
I’ll be in Rome come Sept. I could drop by the Vatican and pass the name along to B16…
Fr Philip, I’m rather amused at the way you so accurately described me. I’m a lay Dominican with an Australian accent (can’t get much more southern), spend much of my time begging friends and family for books, walk with ample girth, and even blog from time to time. I am still working on the academic fluencies (I am an undergrad majoring in Chemistry and Japanese, go figure) but hey, since when did having absolutely no relevant knowledge or experience prevent someone from directing crucial works of the Holy See?
