It just took my breath away. I am hoping this is part of a great turning for Notre Dame, back to their roots.
I’ll tell you this much – I’m almost certain that processional affected more people than a week’s worth of some tawdry play. I am just stunned that such a processional (and outdoors yet!) took place. Hooray for ND!

Okay, I will admit to being stupid. What is this, exactly? I mean, what are they doing? I understand the adoration part. But where are they taking the Host, and what are all those little altars or stands, etc.?
Despite what many often believe, comment, and write, I have found (in visiting my daughter often who is attending school there) the Holy Cross Fathers and most of the University community very faith-filled and truly Catholic in their beliefs and practices. The Basilica liturgies are truly fabulous. One need only tune in at 8AM Eastern every Sunday morning on the Hallmark Channel to witness the Sat. evening Mass rebroadcast.
Events like this are the rule, in my experience, rather than the exception at Notre Dame. Unfortunately, these moments are rarely mentioned, in favor of the more outlandish and provocative events, speeches, and writings that come from the Golden Dome.

Amazing pictures, I wish I could have been there.
