Sen. Kennedy’s endorsement of Obama cracks
me up
“And since that time, I have marveled
at his grit and his grace as he
traveled this country and inspired record turnouts of people of all
ages, of all races, of all genders, of all parties, of all faiths to
get fired up and ready to go,”
Wow,
all genders! Imagine a candidate that can bring both men and
women to vote for him. And I thought it couldn’t be done. Wow
and all faiths also. I though I saw signs that said
“Zoroastrians for Obama” and “Pagans for Obama.” People of
all ages is also quite amazing I didn’t know that the world’s oldest
person supported Obama or that babies in the crib were rooting for him
also, at least the ones born alive and not allowed to be killed due to
Obama’s support of infanticide.

The “of all genders” got a laugh out of me. 🙂
Of “all” genders, as opposed to “both” genders?? Exactly how many genders are out there?
“All faiths?” Satanists too? Doesn’t sound like the kind of bandwagon I want to jump onto.
Me thinks white supremacists aren’t on that bandwagon either…..
Though it does make me wonder if Sen. Kennedy would endorse his own brother today considering JFK’s tax cutting, and strong foreign policy with a military arm, and opposition to abortion.
I doubt it:
‘In 1971, Tom Dennelly of Great Neck, N.Y., wrote to Kennedy expressing his personal views on abortion.
Kennedy responded to Dennelly, writing:
“While the deep concern of a woman bearing an unwanted child merits consideration and sympathy, it is my personal feeling that the legalization of abortion on demand is not in accordance with the value which our civilization places on human life. Wanted or unwanted, I believe that human life, even at its earliest stages, has certain rights which must be recognized the right to be born, the right to love, the right to grow old.
“On the question of the individual’s freedom of choice there are easily available birth-control methods and information which women may employ to prevent or postpone pregnancy. But once life has begun, no matter at what stage of growth, it is my belief that termination should not be decided merely by desire. …
“When history looks back to this era it should recognize this generation as one which cared about human beings enough to halt the practice of war, to provide a decent living for every family, and to fulfill its responsibility to its children from the very moment of conception.”‘

He uses the word “gender” because gender can be changed…as in trans-gender.
Sex cannot be changed, you are either male or female. But this implies some kind of discrimination or intolerance. Here in California, where the deer, antelope and GBLT play, we are no longer allowed to use “man or woman, mom or dad, male or female” in our schools.
Caroline Kennedy said her father stood for “diversity.” Now I was a bit young for his presidency but “diversity”? Now that’s a stretch! The buzz word I associate with President Kennedy was “Responsibility.” But the only “R” word to pass liberal lips seems to be “Rights.” The challenge is to link up “Responsibility to Rights” and then we can talk.
President Kennedy’s political and world views would be considered so Conservative in 2008…ie Republican. But the messianic followers of Obama aren’t big on hard facts and clearly haven’t done much research…1963 was such a different world…and
Camelot exists only in myths.
