has a good article in The American Spectator
on the divide between religious coverage of reporters on candidates for
the two parties. There is an intense curiosity by reporters
regarding faith when it comes to Republicans that is totally missing in
coverage of the Democrats that will never get cries of theocracy no
matter how many church pulpits they speak from.

Well, it probably has to do with the religious beliefs of the candidates. After all, the Democrats aren’t running candidates who deny long-established facts like evolution and would weaken the US education system rather than concede their imaginary friend is fake or would alter the constitution to fit their fantasy of a Christian nation.
Plus, the Democrats’s base includes a large numbers of secularists/atheists/sane people to keep any Democratic religious nutter under raps.
And bigots. Don’t forget bigots.
