What is so cool about St. Blogs is the variety of blogs and the often creative writing used. One of my favorite new blogs that I have been reading for the last couple of months is The B-Movie Catechism. This blog combines the author’s love of B-Movies along with insightful Catholic commentary on the movie itself. For me anybody who can write "I don’t know, I’m not seeing a single rubber monster suit in the whole thing, but you can judge for yourself." has a lifetime fan.
As for myself I quite enjoy B-Movies especially of the "rubber monster suit" type. Part of my enjoyment of bad movies is surely due to a lack of taste, but it certainly enlarges my movie watching catalog. I can watch Mystery Science Theater 3000 and enjoy both the witty banter and the movie being watched. I grew up watching predominately movies in this genre. My father, brother, and I would often go to the drive-in movies whenever they had double or triple features of monster movies or other B-Movie fare. My father at one time was one of the hosts (a werewolf named Roger) of Sinister Cinema in Portland, Or back in the seventies where each week they would play two movies along with sometimes an old serial. As a teenager I would dig up research on that week’s movie, a non-paying job I quite enjoyed.
The B-Movie Catechism is both quite fun even when making serious theological points. So if you love God and Godzilla check it out.

Blood of Heros! I love it already! 🙂
So this is where all those people came from! Imagine my shock, after spending all that time in obscurity (much like the movies I watch)to log on and find my number of page hits quadrupled and rising.
I really do appreciate the kind words. Somewhere in the next few reviews I’ll be sure to dredge up some creature with a zipper on its back just for you.
