The Catholic Guy

Lino had another blogger on the other day and I wish I could remember her name and blog. She had the funniest line I’ve heard in awhile.

She was talking about her highschool days and reading Sartre and Bertrand Russell and finding herself following the atheist-chic trend. She said the Catholic Church is like the Hotel California, “You can check out any time you like but you can never leave.” Now she’s back of course.

Listening to the radio, what came to my mind was Paul Simon. “When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school, it’s a wonder I can think at all.”
