A reader sent me a link to an actual stand by the Unitarian Universalist. In Unitarian you can pretty much believe anything you want about the nature of God or deny God exists at all, but when it comes to abortion and Roe v. Wade they of course "Stand for Choice."
In other news Diane of the Te Deum blog let me know that Abortion Survivor Gianna Jessen will be on EWTN’s Life on the Rock tonight. She is truly an amazing speaker and Diane has some details up about her. Of course according to AP Gianna is still a fetus since she survived abortion.

The UUA page you link says that the Unitarians and Universalists “stand for the inherent dignity and worth of every person” while simultaneously promoting genocide against the most vulnerable people – or, as they call it, “reproductive freedom”. Amazing.
On a tenuously related note, the UU church/facility has had a “Civil Marriage is a Civil Right” banner displayed for the past several months.
I can see how some of their doctrines, so to speak, arise from their universalist foundation, but am I just noticing “you can believe anything you want so long as it fits the secprog agenda” more often, or are they just revealing their true colors, or is there some real paradigm drift going on?
” … Our Senior Minister Marilyn Sewell has provided us with support and inspiration. She gave a very moving sermon on February 19, 2006 titled, “When a Few Make a Difference ,” which lifted up Margaret Sanger as one who had made a difference….”
oh how lovely, Margaret Sanger, raised up as a saint. lovely
One of my profs at the University summed up UU belief as, “There is at most one god.”
The husband of one of my parishioners left the UUs because they were consistantly anti-Christian. “They will tolerate anything and everything that isn’t Christian or conservative.”
Ever hear Garrison Keillor rip into the UUs? As a former Unitarian myself, I can say he is dead-bang on about these nitwits.
Wow. Watching liberal-religious doctrinal moves is like wathcing a helicopter with its rear rotor shot off.
I can’t help it; I have to ask: does anyone know if Helen Reddy is “still an embryo?”
Hope you caught LOTR last night. One of their best shows. I watched Gianna & thought “God has given a voice (& a beautiful one!) to all the babies who’ve had theirs silenced”.

Ohhhhh – that’s a classic.
But, the odd part is, no one in mainstream media is in a hurry to get her story out. It would show how unpolitically correct their political correctness is.
Or, I should have said, “how politically incorrect their political correctness is”
