The latest issue of Dappled Things is out with their Advent/Christmas issue. As usual it is very good. Amy Welborn has a feature on another book I guess I will have to find There is an especially funny story by David Alexander called Lessons in Debasement which is basically a day-in-the-life of a suburban anti-pope. The title is a bad pun or a good pun to my point of view. Another story includes St. Joseph Cupertino who I alluded to in my Vatican Sports post. Matthew Alderman of Shrine of the Holy Whapping has a detailed essay "Light from the East:
The Orientation of Christian Worship in Light of Modern Scholarship" which addresses the history of Ad Orientum and has some very interesting quotes from former advocates of Mass facing the congregation. Rev. Pang Joseph Shiu Tcheou has another good article Celibacy and the Eucharist. Shannon Berry has a powerful and beautifully written reversion story simply titled Reversion.
