Excellent post over at Feminine Genius on the sad story of the killing of the Amish girls. She talks about the weight of purity and there is some aspects of this story that remind me of the story of Saint Maria Goretti and the conversion of her killer Alessandro Serenelli.

I am reminded of St.Maria Gorretti, not only by the bravery of the girl who offered to be shot first to save her sister, but in the Amish Community’s beautiful Christian forgiveness of the killer. They even invited Robert’s family to the funeral!
I believe, as this story unfolds, we may be suprised at just how these pure little girls were spared the horror of molestation.God was indeed at work in the midst of Robert’s sin.
