This episode was an improvement over other times it tangled with the Faith. Like the other bloggers pointed out, there is no crucifixion vs. resurrection theology. There is the mass as primarly a sacrifice vs. the mass as well…who knows what.
As soon as I saw the RC Church featured it was obvious that it would involve either – a pedophile priest, a murderous priest, a priest who was having a love affair, a batty nun, or all of the above.
Although this one was a touch more thoughtful, it didn’t surprise me to find they had featured a priest who just couldn’t be celibate….
At least in the other two CSI’s, the main characters have some religious belief – Horatio prays in Miami, and Mac lights a candle in New York!

You forgot the nun who lies stupidly to try to help someone else. That’s an old stereotype: Catholics will lie and break the law for each other.
Shame on you, its only a tv show. You should of been Praying compline
Josephine: Good one! Your comment caused me to spit tea all over my ‘puter screen…

My reaction to what I saw of the show was to comment that these people just have no idea about religious life, both meanings.
