A reader sent me an article with more background on "pope" Maximus who has split form the Egyptian Coptic Church and "pope" Shenuda III. I thing I can say it they certainly got some cool pope names. Though maybe Shenuda sounds to much like a song from The Knack.

Shenuda? It sounds like an inner-city name to me.
Seriously, is there a Saint Shenuda somewhere? Some of the old saints had some really cool names.
Though Pope Maximus should look like Russel Crowe, right?

I think it’s supposed to be Shenouda, and there is a saint with that name.
