‘papamobile’ – I like it. Though the second nun in the picture doesn’t appear to have had her morning coffee.

Hee hee, that’s cute. Is Papa cold? He still tends to wear the fur mozzetta much of the time. Or is it just because it sets off his ruff of hair?
Ever try to compete with nuns at a Pope Rope? In 1985 I was awaiting JPII at the Spanish Steps in Rome. I got there early and was in the first “row,” but by the time he arrived I was mysteriously behind two “rows” of Irish nuns.
The second nun DID have her coffee — You should see her when she hasn’t!!! 🙂
I LIKE the fur mozzetta thingy. It reminds me of Christmas and the fact that he wears it and looks a little off-season makes me feel not as bad for still having my Christmas display on my high shelf in the entryway (that I can’t reach without a ladder) in May.
Show the world your faith with awesome, creative and honest headgear!

The Holy Father is in his 70s so I imagine that he feels the cold quite a bit in general.
Is it just me, or do others also think that Papa Ratzi looks fully 15 years younger than when he ‘took office’ a year ago? He’s had a new haircut since Holy Week, but it’s more than that. If you happened to watch re-broadcasts of the funeral and installation Masses, you can easily see the difference in his appearance there and, for example, at Stations of the Cross on Good Friday up to the present. Perhaps all our prayers for his good health are being heeded.
It’s heart-warming to see him looking so happy–joyous even–relaxed and comfortable with his new vocation. He looked dreadful, i.e. full of dread, i.e. ‘oh no I think I’m going to HATE this’ when he appeared on the balcony last April. Pope Benedict is a true gift of God to Christians everywhere, so Viva Il Papa!
