You know, Curt, I think Opie could have pulled this off if he had been raised Catholic. Because then, he would have known that people from Opus Dei are not exactly the scarry, malevolent type. In fact, what most people mistake for secrecy, seems to me to be mere shyness. No, if he wanted to portray a faction within the Church with a long history of the conspiracy and the wielding of raw power… he would have picked the Jesuits.

Now that’s a scenario we could all believe.
Except that nowadays it would be more believable if an albino Jesuit assassin were portrayed as killing people to advance the idea that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene than if he were portrayed as killing people to hide it.

Note: “Now that’s a scenario we could all believe.” was quoted material and was unitalicized by accident in my last post.
The Da Vinci Cunningham?
A popular local rock band in Denver is named “Opie Gone Bad”. Is the name prophetic? (for the curious: http://www.opiegonebad.com/FRONT/nonflash.html )
