Gerald has the goods on a musical called erotica being being staged in Catholic churches in the Diocese of Essen and soon to turn in Germany and Austria. inappropriate and immodest are mild descriptions of this musical of very scantily clad women and what appears to be a scene reminiscent of Flashdance but done with alcohol instead. The piece was written by two women in their 20s who also star in the musical. Now it is not difficult to understand why these two women might have thought this to be a good thing to do, but what is amazing is that it seems nowhere along the way did anybody seem to think it is totally inappropriate to perform this in the church.
The pictures must be seen to be believed.

UNBELIEVABLE! Wow. Can it get any worse, short of a black mass?
Okay … where to begin .. oh where to begin
In my former life I did research on market trends, and after some 20 yrs of doing this, you pick up a few things instinctively that set off alarm bells that begs for one to dig deeper …. instincts say, something is afoot and it ain’t a pretty beast ….
bell one: one “safe environment” program has origin w/an org. COYOTE …. pro-prosititution …
bell two: just a few weeks back in the news, another female high school student was being honored at a special dinner of public educators in Israel for her and her classmates’ video production on the woe’s of prostitution. They too acted in the film.
bell three: several headlines in the past few weeks here in USA, Canada and oversees EU, have address the heated debates on “lowering/raising” sexual consent age, “legalizing” prostitution, and the rights of pornographers, while headlines shout the international arrests (Canada, Mexico & Europe) of predators of young children and teens; & the growing market of predators
bell four: headlines discussing porno films produced by students, students and young adults performing in porn films for money, and the good future of the billion dollar porn industry
do I need to continue w/the other bells? One question: what is it that these students are being taught in “school” and in their “churches” about the “prostitution” industry that this is now on their “peace & justice” agenda ???
Just wondering.
When I was a little girl I was playing a pingpong game in the garage against my mom. She was winning, and I, ever the good sport, got frustrated and angry. So I said, “You, you, PROSTITUTE!”
At first she got mad, then sort of softened and said, “Do you know what that word means?” I said no, and she said that I shouldn’t use words unless I know what they mean.
I had only heard the word in church, in the Gospels, and I only knew that it was something that most people despise. But interestingly the Lord did not. So I’m not sure what the crux of this show is supposed to be and I think it’s likely that they’re not going about it in the world’s greatest way, but maybe they aren’t saying anything different than the Scriptures say. I can’t say out of hand that it’s wrong (although I’d like to, out of reverence for what a church stands for).
“…. I only knew that it was something that most people despise. But interestingly the Lord did not. …”
The Lord did say to “go and sin no more”.
The question I have is what is the message that they are giving the teens … prostitution is okay, it is just a crappy business because we have pimps, instead of running our body shops are self …
That is what I wondering ….
With the exception of the two-piece outfit, and the thigh-high stockings, I HAVE seen chicks dressed pretty much like that at Church. Usually non-parishioners in town for a niece’s or nephew’s First Communion or Baptism.
btw– is that a Rush shout-out in the title?
