Why is it that there has been a much more fervent outcry about religious tolerance when it came to the Danish cartoons then in the case of Abdul Rahman who faces a possible death sentence for his conversion to Christianity in Afghanistan?
Update: He has been freed, at least for now. The cae was dismissed due to “problems with the evidence.” Which I guess brings up the old question about if you were arrested for being a Christian would they have any evidence to go on. In this case their obviously was, but it was a convenient excuse to bow to pressure.

Because Pakistan is an Islamic state.
Abdul Rahman is not from Pakistan but from Afganistan. Taliban has great impact on many generations.
Have you ever heard of a liberal judge who suspends the sentence of a vicious criminal but “throws the book” at a hapless homeowner who failed to shovel the snow on the walk in front of his house? What has happened is that the man was afraid to antagonise the dangerous party but was ashamed to have so poorly upheld the law, so he made up for his omission by increased severity on the non-dangerous defendant. This dynamic, which has many variants, is usually accompanied by a speech about how “the law applies to everybody” — meaning, of course, all those not strong or vicious enough to defy it.
It’s the same on a international scale. Who’s the safer target for criticism: a few cartoonists or a nation of killers?
St. Bernard of Clairvaux, a Doctor of the Church, called the followers of Mohammed “pagans”. They are such as they worship at the altars of murder, rape, robbery, genocide and all the other horrors that followed the teachings of that desert bandit, murderer, liar and sexual pervert, Mohammed.
Deus Vult!
Why?
Because the servant is no greater than the Master.
Why should anyone be surprised that the attitude of the American liberal leftist media is “Who Cares??” This hasn’t changed starting with the leftist French Revolution on through the Communist Era in Europe. The only solution is to remember on election day when liberal leftists (Mostly Dems, some Repubs) will be hypocritically seeking our votes.
Deacon John,
Yes those mostly democratic supposedly CATHOLIC politicians. On election day it’s like st patrick’s day…everyone is irish on st patrick’s day, and every heretic politician is a “catholic” on election day.
The cowardice of the secular world only means those who still are faithful need to have the courage of the martyrs to speak the truth and live a christlike life to bring our nation back to christianity.
For Deacon John and CPT Tom–
What do you mean “bring our nation back to christianity”? This thread is about Mr. Rahman, man. We all understand that you vote for Republicans. Grrrreat. Congrats. You have had some success recently, but for Pete’s sake leave that and other irrelevancies out of these threads.
