OTTAWA — A new study for the federal Justice Department says Canada should get rid of its law banning polygamy, and change other legislation to help women and children living in such multiple-spouse relationships.
“Criminalization does not address the harms associated with valid foreign polygamous marriages and plural unions, in particular the harms to women,” says the report, obtained by The Canadian Press under the Access to Information Act.
“The report therefore recommends that this provision be repealed.” [Source]
I only wish looking at Canada was like a fun house mirror reflection of the U.S. instead of it being a look into the future. Though as a read in another article this is inevitable once same-sex marriage is allowed since the "needs" of bi-sexual’s will be the next step forward. They just can’t fit in with traditional or same-sex marriage so the whole being open minded about loving relationship will march us along.
Though of course the culture has been working on this for a while – they just couldn’t get society to bite just yet. I remember in grade school going to an assembly where they had a show on Alvin Toffler’s future shock where part of the movie talked about "non-traditional families" of three people. Then of course they was Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young with their song Triad signing "But I don’t really see, Why can’t we go on as three." Though of course David Crosby could hardly see anything through his drug induced haze.

I visited Barnes & Noble the other nite and was reminded once again that the new world order of Huxley’s vision was getting more and more real. The “Christian” book section was limited to just a few shelves (& not a good selection either), while GNOSTIC Christianity, New Age and “other” religions dominated.
Further, the gnostic christian promoting books had multiple copies, along side the supposed historically true books on all the gnostic players Mary Maggie, freemasonry, the true holy grail, Gospel of Thomaswhich promotes Androgyny … etc. etc.
Canada approved late last year the legalization of Swinger Clubs … which I couldn’t help recall activitist in that country got it to lower the sex consent age to 14 a few years back …. wild scenario these to legal moves create ….
Yep, Brave New World ….
The one hope is that the government thinking up this nonsense will be out of a job in about two weeks’ time.
I really, really could not understand the reaction to Senator Santorum’s remarks that “if we accept gay marriage, we have to accept polygamy, adultery, incest”, when “liberals” screamed “How DARE he equate homosexuality with polygamy?” Does their “right of privacy” apply to two consenting adults, but not three or more?
Get fired from a govenment job for holding polyamory beliefs! .. Never, it will be honored … and from Lifesite, one can see Russia is coming to around to embracing such society too …

Russia May Legalize Polygamy for 10 Million Lonely Women
By Hilary White
MOSCOW, January 13, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The polygamy trend is catching on around the world. In an interview with a Russian radio station, Ramzan Kadyrov, a militia leader and Deputy Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic, said that the depopulation of Chechnya by war justifies legalizing polygamy. ….
You’re not keeping up with the News Fr Totten…Earlier this month a English women “married” a dolphin. I’d say we’ve already gone done the slippery slope that the liberals said didn’t exist.
Earlier this month a English women “married” a dolphin.
There were indications that that story was no more factual than any given Roto Reuters story here. The absurd subject material, for one, and then there was the claim by the bride that the happy couple were going to go bowling during their honeymoon. How on earth is a dolphin supposed to bowl?
Publius, i think bowling might be the least of his difficulties. Poor animal.
I think it’s significant that, when the subject of polygamy comes up, it’s generally assumed to mean one husband and multiple wives rather than the other way about. I suppose most women think one husband is entirely sufficient; on the other hand, how many men would really want to deal with several women who all had a claim on his attention? A New Yorker cartoon a few years back really cracked me up – a haggard man telling his therapist, “I dreamed I had a harem . . . and they all wanted to talk about the relationship.”
What does one get Mr and Mrs Flipper for a wedding gift? Just wondering.

A crib-sized swimming pool for the offspring?
