I was shocked also, so I clicked on the link to their homepage. It doesn’t appear to be in the church- just some fun event called Emmy Night for the kids. Go to the homepage, read the Parish Mission Statement, and check out the rest of the site. Also, check out the “cool links” on the Life Teen page. You might be surprised- as I was. They look like they’re doing a lot of good things in that parish.
I’ll second dw’s observation. If we don’t want non-catholics taking things out of context, then maybe we should also be a bit more careful. Frankly, Jeff, I expect better out of you….what you left unsaid seemed to be, let’s say, a loud disagreement. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
When I have a disagreement with something you will easily know. The sillyness of the picture is just fun. Now if this were done during Mass, that would be another story. But a group of Catholic teens having fun doesn’t bother me at all. Though the picture of the altar made out of trash cans is disturbing.
I was googling ‘rock ‘n rock church’ to try and find an image of some crazy hoopla. When that failed, I just fell back on the old lifeteen search. She’s never let me down. I have to admit that this was a little much from what I had in mind, but too priceless to pass up. “rock, rock on!”
Thanks for the clarification. I believe I am guilty of reading the comments before mine and ascribing those comments attitudes toward the picture to your intent. My bad, and I appologize!

Tell me this is a joke!
At least it’s not in a church – at least I hope not. I can’t imagine what pastor would allow that beast in.
This can’t be serious.

John,

Praise God! Peter Criss has converted to Catholicism!
