Here is an article in the Miami Herald that mentions some notable Catholic bloggers in a Lenten theme. The online version though leaves something to be desired since they inserted spaces in URL names. They mentioned that Peter Nixon regularly gives up blogging in Lent, though he actually stopped blogging last year in May and even sillier they put up the URL for a totally different Peter Nixon who also runs a supermodel site. They discussed Catholic Ragemonkey but made it sound like it was run by only one priest just for the purpose of posting homilies.
The Blog Frome the Core
Mark Shea
Amy Welborn
Joe Convert
Catholic Ragemonkeys
Interestingly there was also another shorter article in same paper in a different section called Blogging for God. This one mentions only a couple blogs, but this time information on Catholic Ragemonkey is correct.

I had a brief correspondence with a Herald writer named Daniel Chang. He was following the story of the Holy Sandwich’s trip across country, and I took him to task for referring to the Blessed Mother’s “divinity”. I wasn’t specially impressed with his grasp of the meaning of words, which is a thing one generally expects of writers, but not, I suppose, necessarily of writers for the Herald.
Just goes to show how obsolete the dead-tree media are. By the time they get something printed it has changed. They cannot keep up with the rapid pace of cyberspace.
Runs a supermodel site? What an embarassing confusion.
Reminds me of Sir Aylmer Bostock from Uncle Dynamite, which I just go done reading. He writes his memoirs, and the publisher, Otis Pianter, accidentally mixes in some pages from a book he’s publishing about nude paintings. The result is a nude female picture in his memoirs with the caption “Myself in the early 20’s”.
Jouranists are idiots. They are so worked-up about their positions as heralds of truth that they never bother to research the very topics they report on.
Shakespeare got it wrong. KILL ALL THE JOURANISTS!
Thanks, Jeff. I didn’t know about this.
