A Bensalem man with dreadlocks serving time at a Pennsylvania prison has sued the state Corrections Department, saying its grooming policy violates his right to religious freedom.
Larry Meggett, 54, described as a Hebrew Israelite/Nazarite, sued after Mahanoy state prison authorities turned down his request for an exemption to a rule limiting “Afro styles” of hair to no longer than 4 inches. [Full Story]

Another reason I’m glad to be Catholic….no constraints on my tresses. And no obligation to maintain a certain length either! 🙂

Now, let’s not split hairs and get all wigged out and upbraid one another. Locks are an essential part of prison.
