Not a pipe organ,a ctually it was his liver which he donated to someone he read about in the newspaper.
I guess in this case the priest’s sacrifice livered someone from evil.

I can see the movie now–called “Liverance,” of course. And the theme song will be “Dueling Liturgists.” Eww. It’ll be rated R for the music alone.
Unless it’s made in Boston. Then it would have to be “Liverdance.” And the rating would be X.
Sorry, Jeff. I can’t help it.
How can one do that? I mean, as I understand it, you cannot live without a liver, so if you give it up, you die. So, how does one give up one’s liver and remain faithful to the teachings of Christ? Even if you’re terminal from another disease, you’ll still hasten your own death by giving up your liver. Something doesn’t sound right.
Umm…he donated a kidney
L is correct. I read the story instead of just relying on the blog. The priest donated a kidney, of which we have two. Bet, however, this won’t make the front page of the NY Times or the Wash Post or any other major paper.
Actually, one can donate a substantial portion of the liver, as it will regenerate. Living liver donation is much more fraught with techinical issues than kidney donation, but it can and has been done.
There’s this very popular priest in Indo, Fr Mangun Wijaya. He told people to donate his organ. But I think the Bishop or some other authority doesn’t allow his wish to be carried because they’re considering to obtain his relics.
They could get his relic after the person he donated the organ to died, couldn’t they? What’s the rush?
