ROME, Italy (Reuters) — An Italian man has taken his mother and sister to court because they locked him out of a shared home when he got engaged to a divorcee.
The women object to the marriage because the Catholic Church does not allow divorce, ANSA news agency reported on Tuesday.
“You can come back into this house whenever you like, but not with a divorcee for a wife,” the mamma told her son in front of a bemused judge in the northern town of Lecco.
The judge, unwilling to step into a family spat, told the parties to resolve it themselves, and failing that he would call a second hearing in a few weeks.
In the meantime, the man and his fiancee are looking for rented accommodation.

Sometimes I wonder if they have editors review the contents of web articles, “The women object to the marriage” I guess referring the the woman as an object is objective reporting.

Um, object is acting as a verb in the sentence you are complaining about. If that was an attempt at humor, Jeff, it was pretty lame.
They obviously meant to say the women objected and left off the -ed. As for lame humor it is my forte.
That sort of joke is not lame. It is the acme of humor, and I really enjoy it. But then, I *myself* am lame, which is what makes my enjoying that sort of humor possible.
