A priest (SSPX) saying Mass at
St. Jude’s church in Eddystone escaped injury when a bullet fired at him on the
altar bounced off his shoe, police said.

Several parishioners attending the 8 a.m. Mass at the
Delaware County church tackled and disarmed the assailant, whom police
identified as Joseph George Barder, 31.

Police said Barder has been charged with attempted
murder, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering others, and carrying a
