I remembered previously being
annoyed when the Smurfs were all the rage and that the word Smurf was used in
the show as a noun or a verb or other parts of the English language that I can’t
identify. Example are: have a smurfing good day, Smurfilicious, Smurfy, etc. The
word blog has also been used in this way, blogosphere, blogger, blogless,
blogging, and countless other examples. Now I am equally guilty of using blog as
substitutes or prefixes for words. Is this cutting edge cultural analysis? In
one word – no.
On a side note there is a Smurf web page translator, I tried it
on the Drudge
Report and it came up with these strange juxtapositions.

‘could kill 500,000’… Smurfy, isn’t it?
