(CNSNews.com) – President Bush is spending the day in the
White House, after giving his staff firm instructions to avoid gloating about
Republican victories on Election Day. Press reports say Bush is so determined to
avoid even the appearance of gloating, that he will not make any public
appearances Wednesday. Instead, he is making congratulatory calls to victorious
Republican candidates. White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said President Bush
is aiming for a “touch of graciousness,” and therefore he will not have any
public statements on Wednesday, either. Fleischer added that President Bush “of
course looks forward to talking about all the issues with the American people
