I came
across this site which has a list of celebrities who have announced they are
atheist. I was really surprised to find Fidel Castro, Larry Flynt, Ted Turner
and Howard Stern listed, how could we have known. The people who run this web
site will allow almost any public statement to be used to confirm that the
people listed are atheists. I just hope that they are all people who are seeking
the truth and for the time have arrived at this conclusion. Give me an honest
atheist anytime over someone who is agnostic and not willing to to try to arrive
at the truth one way or the other. I am going to ask St. Edith Stein, a one time
atheist, to pray for them. One of the great thing about being Catholic is that
we have many friends in high places.

The celebrity atheist site needs to revise a little. G. Gordon Liddy has in recent times admitted a belief in God. In fact, in his 1996 Edition of his auto biography “Will,” (in the post-script) he speaks of both God and the Devil and how they influence our lives. He has also said that he NEEDS to attend Mass more often (which in fact means he is on his way back to catholicism). He does need, however, to change his position on artificicial contraception. (if he hasn’t already. This call i heard in 2000).
